REVIEW - LATEST IN BEAUTY - £1 MONTHLY BEAUTY BOX

I have not yet recieved my box. This is just a talk about the site and the ordering process of this months box.

So, I was browsing Youtube, again, watching iclelivzi's latest video about the latest in beauty £1 box.
I went onto the website, signed up, and can't wait to order my first box.

This is just a quick 'walk-through' the site and how it works. Although it really is so so simple to use. I currently don't have a job, so I don't have enough money to spend on a glossy box every month, especially when I hear some people get samples that they really have no use for. Although with glossy box the samples are sometimes absolutely huge, it is quite costly. And I personally think that this beauty box is a really really good idea if you're a little tight for cash.

So. You go to http://www.latestinbeauty.com/. And sign up. Fill in a little beauty questionnaire about yourself. And tadah! Easy enough, right?

Then, click on your account in the top right corner and you get to a really clear, user friendly page, with all the different things you can buy down the side:

Here's a quick run down of what these are..
PERSONAL SHOP: You can use this page after you've ordered a box, or maybe more than one, and you can basically buy full size versions of the testers you have ordered before, for really good prices.
PRIVATE SALES: On here there are some sales of full size products, some with matching free-bees, some in packs etc. And they are basically on auction for a certain amount of time for AMAZING prices.
MONTHLY BEAUTY BOX: This is the box that you can order, for just one pound, using your phone credit. You can actually chose from a selection of testers, in categories Skin care, Make-up and Fragrances and Hair & Body. This is great, because you can actually choose what three testers you want. And if you don't fancy any of them available that month, then simply don't order the box that month! Great! More about this one in a moment..
LUXURY SAMPLES: From here you can basically order slightly larger samples or products for around £2.50-£10 ish, obviously depending on the actual product/size.
THEMED BOXES: Basically, here you can order a box that is themed around a certain thing, maybe a brand, kinda of make-up, Etc. The introductory price for the first box is £4.95, so I'm guessing maybe that price will increase?

So, here we go with the MONTHLY BEAUTY BOX!

So im ordering my first monthly beauty box now.. And this is how it works.
Click on the right page. And it takes you straight to the selection of samples for the Skin Care category for this month. All you do is click on the product you like the look of, or suits your needs best, and it pops up in the little blue box, 'MY MONTHLY BEAUTY BOX', in the top right corner. Then you simply click the next box, 'Add sample', for the Make-up and Fragrances and the Hair & Body. And pick two more samples. And, you can also see how much of the sample you will receive, and, I know you don't get a lot. But for one pound. It is. Amazing. For three testers. And just think. Rather pay a pound to test out three products, than spend £40 on a product you wont like.

When you're done, the little box will be filled in like this:

Easy. ALSO! If you don't know anything about the product, you can read reviews and product details. Easy enough!

So I've ordered, bath crystals, moisturiser, and some fancy under-eye cream.
Checkout..
Okay so once you've clicked checkout it basically tells you what you have selected for what category and then shows you all the samples you selected with pictures.
Now on the right it tells you what to do, basically text the word it says, to the number it says. It will cost you £1 charged to your phone bill (+ standard network rates). Then, you receive a code, you type it into the enter code box, and click submit. How. Easy.

So I'm going to try this now as I type.. I have sent the message. And literally 30 seconds later I have received my code. The message reads: 'Please enter (my code) as code to receive your Latest in Beauty trial size products. This code stays valid for 24 hours'
Now I'm entering my code into the website.. And.. done!
'Your code was validated. You will receive your Beauty Box within the next few days.'

Well. That's that then. All I have to do now is wait for my lovely box to arrive, try out the products, and see if I'd like to buy them in full size!

It is the most simple, easy way to try out new products before buying them full price. And a really great idea.

I will be posting a review on the 3 samples I receive hopefully as soon as I receive them and use them!

So far, I highly recommend this sight!

Thanks! Chloë x

REVIEW - L'OREAL PROFESSIONNEL SERIE EXPERT SILVER SHAMPOO

This review is based on the use of this shampoo on my hair which is very light blonde. I got this shampoo about 5 months ago when I decided I wanted to be a white blonde colour. I had read some reviews and decided to buy it, and now I'm passing on my experience with it to you. I've only just run out after 5 months so it lasts a long time. I'll give all the pros and cons at the end.

It is packaged in the smart L'Oreal bottles and really does look pro!

This is what the shampoo looks like. Looks a bit scary, to be honest. It is this blue because blue is opposite to yellow on the colour wheel, therefore it gets rid of the brassy yellow tones that are left when you have bleached/dyed your hair blonde. It works best when you have got quite light yellowy blonde hair, to get the best results.

I have very light white blonde hair, and sometimes I get yellowy tones in it just from products and what-not. So I use this maybe 3 times a weeks to top up the whiteness. If i use it more then that sometimes i get very very faint blue tints in the lightest parts of my hair that only show in very bright sunlight, I dont mind it, but its not for everyone. To avoid this, dont leave it on for as long (I tend to leave mine on for about 2 minutes), and dont use as often. It will only really happen if you have very very whiteblonde hair because the colour will grab easier.

So this is what my hair looked like today before shampooing. It's got some yellowy tones in because i havent been able to wash it for two days because I've got a skin test behind my ear from the salon because im getting brown put in my fringe tomorrow. That is the only reason why it looks so greasy, I do normally wash my hair at least every other day. Anyway! You can see the yellowy tones in there mostly by my roots, and the places where it is most light. (Please excuse my roots):

So now I'm gunna go wash my hair with this shampoo!

My hair BEFORE shampoo wet:

My hair with shampoo IN:

My hair AFTER shampoo wet:
(Don't worry, my camera picked up the purple a lot, it didnt really look like purple, and when its dried, it doesnt look like this at all)

During Drying (You can already see the brightness and the white coming back!):
After straightening:

So you can deffinitely see the difference!
 - I would only reccomend this for people with very light blonde hair that want to get out that bleachy yellow. It will not get rid of orange tones or very strong yellow. For that you will need a toner. (I will be doing a review on a Manic Panic toner for white hair soon.)

GOODS:
  • Gets rid of most yellowy tones in light blonde hair. Completely gone after about 3 uses. (for very very light blonde hair)
  • Doesn't cost too much, I think I got this from a salon for about £9.25. More expensive than some but worth it.
BADS:
  • Smells a little like mens aftershave stuff? But it doesnt stay in your hair when its dry, especially if you condition.
  • If used too much, it dries out your hair quite a bit, especially as blonde is such a fragile colour. To avoid this just leave conditioner on your hair for about an hour or longer, cover with a shower cap or hot towel and it will help your hair recover.
  • After a while of buying this over and over again, it does get a bit expensive. Don't use it too often and only use a little, it lathers really well.
So I hope this helped some people out, if there are any more questions about this at all or you feel like I have missed something out, please feel free to comment and ask!

Hey!

Hey! I'm Chloë, I'm new to blogging, I felt like sharing my opinions, reviewing products, general chit-chat about hair, beauty, clothes, nails, Etc.

I am happy to discuss opinions on comments, however, nasty, offending comments are not welcome. They're not nice for other people to read who have come to talk about products and read reviews. So click 'Next Blog' and waste your time somewhere else.
Other then that I'm a nice person and love a good talk and will answer any questions (within reason..) about posts on my blog :)

Follow! For more reviews and tutorials please follow! It's free.. :)
If you want me to check out your blog/youtube then I will and I'll post a link on my blog and do a post recomending your site.
- Any product that I show and talk about on here I have brought myself and have not been sent anything by a company and I am not being paid to give good reviews. Everything I review on here is my honest opinion. I am not a pro at anything, I'm just here to give a little honest advice! :)

Thank you, Chloë x
